What is SOLIDWORKS DriveWorksXpress?
DriveWorksXpress is a tool used in SOLIDWORKS to generate variations of a model from a rules-based system. Its main function is automation of the design process. DriveWorksXpress tool uses a Base Model (Product) to create the variations of it using the rules set by the user (Designer). It can be used for Configuring and Automating Parts, Assemblies and Drawing. DriveWorksXpress gives customer the ability to configure their product and be able to see all the different configurations available from that product in real-time, so that they can choose which type of configuration they want. DriveWorksXpress Tool works by capturing information from your existing models. This information which consist of Dimensions, Features and configurations can then be controlled by a series of rules, these rules can be controlled from a simple input form, so that all you need to do is put the details (using Rules) in for the new variations (using Forms), and then DriveWorksXpress will create them for you.
