Centre of Excellence – “Skill Development & Adoption of Industry 4.0 Supporting Technologies’’

To accelerate the adoption of learning practices and competences in Industry 4.0 technologies related to Design, manufacturing, simulation-PLM in the manufacturing industry vertical, colleges/Incubators intends to set up a SOLIDWORKS Centre of Excellence. The Centre shall focus on Skill development and adoption of Industry 4.0 supporting technologies for Educators, Research associates and Student community.

  • Align teaching practices and learning materials to incorporate fundamentals of Industry 4.0 along the current syllabus.
  • Explore avenues for engaging educators to be trained and develop competences related to Industry 4.0
  • Identify skill gaps in different sectors and offer courses for enhancing employability by upgrading skills focused on supporting Industry 4.0 Technologies.
  • Improve the students’ learning experience and their digital competences in Industry 4.0 technologies and increase their employability.
  • The Centre shall aim to replicate a digital environment focusing on building knowledge and skills on specific applications where students understand the importance of a digital platform to perform their day-to-day tasks like the “Factory of Future”.

  • Utilizing the Technological solutions to align the academic Institutes with Industry 4.0 technology requirements.
  • Spread an Innovation culture across the academic institution through the Centre of Excellence.
  • Dassault Systèmes technology Solutions, implemented at each academic institution covered under this program, shall become the medium for innovators to showcase their ideas.
  • Assist colleges/Incubators in strengthening the Technology infrastructure meeting the user experience within the lab facility.
  • Expand educational opportunities for students and faculty.
  • Complete 3DEXPEREINCE Product Suite provided to Researchers and Faculty associates developing Intellectual Property (IP) Patents, and conducting research. Specific training for researchers in using advanced analysis and validation tools.
  • Industry relevant product design skill training to be imparted to students, Trainer’s, Research faculty, Mentors.
  • Co-marketing opportunities such as speaking at Dassault Systèmes events and promotion in campaigns and social communities.
  • Develop Certified Accredited Trainer at each academic institute, who will play a vital role in developing next generation of engineering and design Innovators.

The Purpose of MOU is to create a Sustainable Partnership between College and Conceptia as Industry & Technology Partner to impart futuristic technology education to address the emerging shift in manufacturing towards Industry 4.0 for the Student community. The goal is to impart skill development and enhance the employability of the students by learning & certification using the Dassault Systèmes software suite of products.

Immersive Learning for Students: The training courses and webinars are designed to encourage learning of Industry 4.0 techniques, including application of digital technologies in the manufacturing environment. Students are trained on learning the concepts of creating virtual models of the products which are later validated using advanced CAE systems. The virtual models are also re-purposed to generate manufacturing information, including QA/ QC processes, technical communications etc. and thereby learning optimization and digital interaction of the process of Research & Development.

Level of Engagement:

  • Advanced courses for students using Dassault Systèmes suite of solutions which includes new methodologies encouraging students to adopt digital design & manufacturing technology.
  • Enable faculty members by providing the comprehensive courses intended to help them gain knowledge on the usage of digital design and validation tools utilizing the Dassault Systèmes Suite of CAD/CAE solutions.
  • SOLIDWORKS certification to help students get a great job after graduation by preparing them for workplace demands and motivating them to take the next step in their learning.
  • Internship program exclusive for students to gain competitive knowledge.
  • Exclusive sessions like talks/seminars/workshops on latest industry trends by experts.
  • Product Design Contests for Engineering, design and Technology students.
