3DEXPERIENCE Works Platform
3DEXPERIENCE is a platform offered through Dassault Systèmes that brings together all aspects of your project in a single place with the option to work from the cloud called 3DEXPERIENCE Works Platform. Rather than accessing all Dassault Systèmes’ applications separately, such as Catia, Simulia, Enovia, etc, they can all be accessed through the 3DEXPERIENCE Works Platform. This presents the potential to greatly streamline your workflow as well as reducing the chance for errors
The platform provides a way to keep track of market trends with information intelligence apps, create solutions with 3D modeling apps such as Catia or SolidWorks, test solutions with simulation apps such as DELMIA or SIMULIA, all while keeping the project on track and reducing any potential errors by tracking quality with the use of collaborative apps such as Enovia.
Through these the entire team, from marketing and sales to engineering, can access and contribute the information they need, all in one place. The platform also offers the 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace. This allows you to browse and download 3D parts from a catalog from hundreds of suppliers as well as connect with manufacturers to have you part or parts manufactured. With 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, and more, the 3D marketplace gives you the final tool to take your concept from design to product.
3DEXPERIENCE Works Platform for Collaboration and Validation & more
The gateway to this platform is the 3DEXPERIENCE Compass. The Compass comprises of four quadrants, each containing an assortment of Apps, Links and Online Resources i.e., Social & Collaborative (North), Information Intelligence (East), Simulation (South), and 3D Modeling (West). The apps that are available to each user will depend on their job roles.
Social & Collaborative
The Social and Collaborative apps are available through the north quadrant of the compass, which comprises of 3DSwym community, 3DDrive and User Groups to collaborate & share, data & Information.
3D Modelling
The west quadrant of the 3DEXPERIENCE Compass comprises of 3D modelling apps intended to perform different tasks like Industrial design, Mechanical design, SheetMetal design & engineering detailing required for manufacturing.
Simulation
The south quadrant of the 3DEXPERIENCE Compass is comprised of simulation applications used for virtual prototyping and process simulation. The simulation apps belong to the SIMULIA powered by the Abacus solver and DELMIA which offers a wide range of solutions that enable you to simulate manufacturing processes.
Information Intelligence
The information intelligence apps are found on the eastern quadrant of the 3DEXPERIENCE Compass which enable users to gather collective information from any enterprise system or on the web easily. This includes connecting, discovering, collecting, consolidating and understanding information found in any of these platforms.
