SOLIDWORKS INSPECTION

Create inspection documentation in less time, improve quality and decrease time to market

SOLIDWORKS Inspection – Automate Your Inspection Documentation

Quality is an indication of manufacturing accuracy. The quality department in an organization oversees Quality Assurance. A quality engineer inspects manufactured parts by the proper use of gauges accompanied by drawings and tabulated reports.

Are you a quality engineer following ballooning in drawings and manual typing in excel or hand-writing in inspection reports? Are you facing bulk of components queued up for inspection and struggling with on time completion? Then you have come to the right place!

Welcome to SolidWorks INSPECTION, a tool that simplifies the creation of Ballooned Drawing and Inspection Report through automation.

As an Add-in, this tool interacts with native SOLIDWORKS drawings in more automated manner allowing seamless integration with SolidWorks and easy updates. As a Standalone, this tool allows non-CAD users to extract data from PDF or TIFF drawings to create ballooned inspection drawings and quality inspection reports.

SOLIDWORKS Inspection Features

SOLIDWORKS Inspection Drawing
Inspection Drawing determines what features need to be measured through balloons.

Inspection Report created from inspection drawing lists the details of what will be inspected. Once the part is measured, the measured values will be entered into this form.

An INSPECTION project records the project properties, extraction settings, tolerance settings, and inspection characteristic data along with data like gauges, manufacturing method within the drawing document. Finally, it exports to 2D PDF and MS Excel files. Entered values in the results column in the final Excel report turn green or red color displaying Pass/Fail status.

One of its powerful features in INSPECTION Standalone known as OCR engine (Optical Characteristic Recognition) will convert the image of the selected text into an actual text value within the inspection project thereby eliminating manual input and reduces errors.
