Every design starts with sketch, if the sketch fails; your 3D model probably fails. In this case there are several reasons why sketches fails, but they can be included with dimensions, geometry and relations. In this tech Blog I will be explaining a feature in SOLIDWORKS: Repair Sketch. Let\u2019s take a look on this tool.<\/p>\n<h2><b>To access Repair Sketch in SOLIDWORKS:<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17258\" style=\"margin-top: 22px;\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/repair1.gif\" alt=\"repair1\" width=\"770\" height=\"81\" data-id=\"17258\" \/><\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000; font-size: 15px; margin-left: 22px; padding: 0;\">\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 22px; margin-top: 22px;\">You can find it under <b>Tools&gt;Sketch Tools&gt;Repair Sketch.<\/b> Let\u2019s take look at the following sketch:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17259 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/repair2.gif\" alt=\"Repair sketch Solidworks\" width=\"800\" height=\"394\" data-id=\"17259\" \/><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 22px;\">In this sketch everything seems to be correct. But when we create a new Boss extrude with this sketch, I unable to create the feature.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17260 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/repair3.gif\" alt=\"How to Edit or Repair Sketch in SOLIDWORKS\" width=\"800\" height=\"393\" data-id=\"17260\" \/><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 22px;\">In this case go to repair sketch feature, the repair sketch dialog box appears automatically. Set the gap as 6.5mm and click refresh. The one error appears with the Magnifying glass on the screen will look like this:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17261 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/repair4.gif\" alt=\" Edit or Repair Sketch in SOLIDWORKS\" width=\"800\" height=\"388\" data-id=\"17261\" \/><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 22px;\">This issue is solved by dragging the sketch from one endpoint to other end point, so point merges each other.
