Hence we help you out to create your own custom profile and insert it into the SOLIDWORKS Library.<\/p>\n<h2>Create SOLIDWORKS Weldment profiles<\/h2>\n<p>Your first step is to sketch the profile.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15736\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/SOLIDWORKS-1.jpg\" alt=\"solidworks-1\" width=\"900\" height=\"500\" data-id=\"15736\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Please keep the origin as the default point of extrusion for the weldment. Once you are done with your sketch, select the sketch from the feature manager design tree, go to File &gt; Save As. Dropdown \u201cSave as type\u201d select \u201cLib Feat Part\u201d, give it a file name and save<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15741\" src=\"https:\/\/ckonnect.in\/solidworks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/weldment-profile.jpg\" alt=\"weldment-profile\" width=\"900\" height=\"500\" data-id=\"15741\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The next step is to find your weldment profile library. This can be done by going to Tools &gt; Options. Under the System Options Tab, select \u201cFile Locations\u201d. Under \u201cShow folders for\u201d, get down to \u201cWeldment profiles\u201d and copy the folder location.
